India to extend nationwide lockdown

Lockdown May Be Extended, Some Economic Activities May Be Allowed. After a meeting between Modi and 13 chief ministers, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that the PM has taken the “correct decision to extend the lockdown”. As of April 11, the country has a total of 7,447 confirmed cases of the infection. This figure includes 239 deaths and 643 patients who recovered after testing positive for COVID-19. Maharashtra (1,574) has the highest number of confirmed cases followed by Tamil Nadu (911), Delhi (903) and Rajasthan (553).
